KARATEGI
Around 30 years ago Mr. Malleo Carmelo was fighting for the Italian national team in a Gi that was not comfortable or stylish and was too heavy. He decided that he would design and make a Gi of his own especially for competition kumite and kata competitors. Malleo Carmelo’s KO Italia has produced handmade Karate gi entirely made in Italy: design, cutting, manufacturing, choice of Italian cotton. The idea comes from the same master Carmelo Malleo, who wanted to create a uniform that best suits the needs of athletes. Over the years, great insight led to the creation of a wide range of karategi, who's unique style and research is appreciated by practitioners, greatest karate champions, technicians and experts of this martial art, who recognize the best handicraft and identify the Made in Italy
Today KO Karate gi are worn by champions such as:
Luca Valdesi - Italy
Stefano Maniscalco - Italy
Rafael Aghayev - Azerbaijan
George Kotaka - USA
